Ivan Pascual Bossa finalist

Ivan Pascual, from Desserts Workshop Cal Gumer in Almenar, has been chosen as one of the eight Spanish finalists of the world chocolate creativity contest, World Chocolate Masters.

The state final will be held on 19, 20 and 21 November at the Gastronomic Forum of Girona and the winner will participate next year in the world final of the same competition in Paris.

During the competition of the next few days in Girona, the contestants must prepare different pieces of pastry: a chocolate sculpture, a dessert and a snack.

As reported yesterday by the Guild of Pastry of Lleida, this year, the theme chosen in the contest are futuristic creations. Pascual, for his part, did not want to reveal the details of how his creations will be, but said he was "very excited about this challenge". It is the first time that Pascual participates in this contest, to which he has acceded as a finalist for his career in the world of creations with chocolate. Since he was selected, he has prepared for the event and for this he has sought the support of professionals in architecture, modeling and sculpture, as well as the creative team of CactusSoup from Lleida. For the preparation of the pieces, he has sought "different, innovative and fresh" flavors, such as the scent of the forest, he explained.
