World Chocolate Masters

For more than 10 years, World Chocolat Masters has been celebrated, a contest for craftsmen from all over the world. They produce artistic pieces on a specific subject in a limited time. The theme of this edition, Futropolis, has invited the finalists to reflect on the future of the creativity in chocolate. More specifically, on how the cities of the future will influence the way in which one of the most exquisite pleasures is to be conceived and consumed, the chocolate.

After two days full of sensory inspiration from the hand of the best chocolates, pastry chefs and chefs from all over Spain, the verdict came. The jury of World Chocolate Masters announced to Ivan Pascual as winner of Spanish Chocolate Masters 2017. The finalists for the second and third place were the pastry chefs Sergio Ortíz and Carmen Rueda. A process and an end that could be seen at the Gastronomic Forum of Girona from 19 to 21 of November.

With this victory, Ivan Pascual will represent Spain during the international final of Paris in October 2018.

A final that will feature the best chocolate chefs from 21 countries. It will be a tough three-day competition that will challenge them to force the boundaries of culinary creativity with the chocolate barns of Cacau Barry. Ivan has a whole year of preparation to be among the best in the world of chocolate.
